Liguria is a Northern region of Italy.
I am a Ligurian.
And in my region that are just 4 things you don’t dare to touch: money, pesto, fish and focaccia.
We are proud of them and you have to like them and do them properly, if you really want to try.
We have a special type of focaccia, called “fugassa” or ” focaccia alla ligure” (Ligurian focaccia).
We love all this stuff, especially focaccia. Our is really soft and full of extravergin olive oil and while you eat, it has to make you chin “oily”. If it doesn’t happen, it cannot be called focaccia.
Today I have been to Lidl. And I found “focaccia”.
I don’t have idea what is that kind of “panini” but i must say it’s slightly different from the real type of fugassa.
I love you so much Sweden, but sometimes you make me to miss Italy too much.
